Cookery Days …….relaxation, culinary inspiration and fabulous food
A Cookery Day at the Foodie Queen cookery school is a relaxed and indulgent day, mixing the essential ingredients of fun, chat, exciting culinary ideas and fabulous food. The varied programme offers new menu themes every term, with a mix of innovative recipes and old favourites.
The day begins at 9.45am when you will be warmly welcomed with home baked cake or biscuits and a drink in the lovely kitchen of the Foodie Queen’s old farmhouse. The morning is spent enjoying the cookery demonstration; a full menu of tried and tested, inspirational recipes is prepared, with hints, tips, sampling and chat along the way. A canapé and drink are served during the morning, stimulating the appetite for the delicious 3-course lunch to come.
The demonstration finishes at lunchtime, when guests are seated in the smart dining room and served the prepared dishes for lunch. After coffee and homemade chocolate truffles, each guest goes home with their printed recipe booklet and a little something scrumptious for later indulgence.
Heather’s demonstration style is vibrant, light-hearted and fun, creating a sociable and enjoyable setting in which to share with you her knowledge, skills and passion for food.
Recipes are carefully chosen to meet certain criteria – the chosen dishes are delicious, they make the most of good, easily-available ingredients including seasonal produce, and they are dishes that either an experienced or a less confident cook will enjoy making and feel proud to share.
Groups are small, limited to a maximum of 10 people so that the experience is as special and enjoyable as can be. When booking a place on one of the planned dates, you will be warmly welcomed whether by yourself, with a friend or with a group of friends.
Private, individually-tailored days can also be arranged for groups of 6 to 10 people - or if you would like a cookery day for more than 10 people, then Heather can bring the cooking-and-eating party to you! This is a great way to enjoy a hen party or hen weekend, or to celebrate a birthday or other special occasion.
The price of a cookery day is £65 per person, fully inclusive.
